Our client is looking for an AWS Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer. This role is responsible for providing continuous cloud development and operations including automation as well as assisting with cloud environment implementation, configuration, migration and re-factor activities. Helps set up and run tooling including CI/CD and IaC implementation. You will need to have at least five years’ experience in the industry with specific skills in the following:
Customer Cloud and Digital Transformation Engagements
- Champion and evangelise Cloud and DevOps
Automation Design & Implementation
- Infrastructure as Code, Scripting and Coding
- ARM
- Terraform
- PowerShell
- Git
- CI/CD Pipelines, such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins
Cloud Environment Build, Configuration and Operation
- Tenancy, account structure, landing zone automation, tagging and cost controls
- Azure IaaS, PaaS & SaaS e.g. Migrate, App Service, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, VNet,
- API Management, Storage Accounts, SQL, Cosmos, AAD etc.
- Compliance and security e.g. Identity and access management, Encryption
- Monitoring, logging and alerting
- OS and database configuration, hardening and patching e.g. Linux, Windows, SQL
- Tool setup and run e.g. discovery tools, security health checks, CI/CD
- Any programming skills, e.g. C# or Java
Cloud Migration Assistance
- 6-Rs execution including refactoring
- Environment optimisation e.g. resources, billing, service architecture
Project Delivery
- Stakeholder management, communications and reporting.
Current certifications in some of above is expected and a willingness to specialise in an AWS competency would be advantageous.
The location of the role is in Auckland.
