Our client is looking for a Market Analyst. The Market Analyst role will assist in providing qualitative and quantitative analysis of global commodity markets and assist in determining the impact on the organisation’s trading and asset portfolios. The role will actively develop and maintain models, data processes and generally support the team’s modelling, analytics, and reporting framework. More about the role:

• Research the energy commodity markets to identify the factors that drive prices and identify data sources so these factors can be tracked/monitored
• Build, maintain and continuously improve fundamental models to provide insight on how identified drivers affect prices
• Collect, modify and interpret large data sets provided from various public and private sources, analysing results
• Identify patterns and trends in data whilst reporting back to the management team
• Develop automated data dashboards to help communicate and report main findings to relevant members of the business.

The location of the role is in Sydney.
