Our client is looking for an IT Business Analyst. You will act as an intermediary between the business and IT, drawing on a strong understanding of business processes and technology to ensure that the desired business outcomes are achieved. As the successful BA, you will be working with the business to help shape an application ‘Road Map’ for the business units – truly understanding the customer and business strategy. This will then be communicated to the IT strategy & architecture team to ensure alignment with IT or IT’s need to align to the business direction. Key accountabilities:
- Identify new opportunities based on business unit requirements, and advise on how IT can contribute to business unit competitive advantage
- Engage with architecture team on initiatives to ensure alignment with the IT strategy direction
- Partner with stakeholder teams across business units to develop and review documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and leaning towards cost effective solutions and systems
- Drive pre-project work such as feasibility assessment, scoping, requirements definition, business case and other related activities, working in conjunction with other parts of the business and IT to maintain engagement and manage expectations
- Conducting service level reviews with both IT and business unit to determine emerging requirements and areas of improvement
- Provide clear feedback to product and delivery teams on potential changes/improvements where applicable.
The location of the role is in Sydney.
