Our client is looking for an IT Operations Manager. Reporting to the CIO, this individual will be responsible for the end to end operations of the IT environment whilst leading Helpdesk staff. The operations will include a combination of technical support from 2nd to 3rd level and also some project work at required by the business. This individual will have solid technical and IT management skills, coupled with strong people management experience. Key responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd and 3rd Level support to efficiently resolve user issues with PC hardware, phones, applications and network access
- Develop strong interpersonal relationships with all organisational staff and proactively engage with them to identify problems and opportunities for system and service improvement
- Liaise with vendors and third-party providers for escalations to resolve ICT issues
- Manage and improve the Network and Server environments to improve reliability and effectiveness of systems
- Manage a wide range of IT project work including infrastructure, telephony and systems
- Support IT Operations activities while upgrading systems and servers
- Manage IT operations processes to streamline the upgrades, monitor the system to ensure that it remains stable and usable
- Maintain data security through the upgrade and migration processes
- Proactively manage and improve the organisations Cyber Security.
The location of the role is in Sydney.
