Our client is looking for an IT Project Manager. The right candidate will lead and coordinate Information Technology projects; assess project objectives and recommend technical strategies to satisfy business needs. Project Managers work with operational managers, senior management, business systems analysts, and IT professionals to ensure projects are properly defined and deliver expected efficiency gains, revenue enhancements, increased customer service levels, and/or strategic advantages. Project Managers collaborate with internal business partners and operations managers to implement operational changes, data exchange, data management, and reporting. Essential duties:
- Manage all aspects of IT projects including feasibility studies, project execution, documentation, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and training
- Coordinate plans and activities of the project team with that of other teams/groups within DHIFS/DR Horton to optimize working relationships and communications
- Provide management and direction for project activities. This includes setting project priorities, coordinating and reporting group activities
- Deliver progress reports to the CIO, team members, executive-level staff, and project stakeholders
- Provide updates on the development of project objectives including project scope, risk identification/mitigation, project deliverables, timelines, and resources
- Track and resolve project issues; escalate issues that cannot be resolved at the project level
- Assist senior management, operational managers, and internal business partners in prioritizing new development, enhancements, and maintenance requests
- Provide subject matter expertise to a department and its clients, based on professional knowledge and experience
- Document and define business workflow processes
- Support and facilitate standardization within IT and across business operations
- Approve all systems requirements, external requirements, internal design requirements and any other associated documentation produced by project team
- Make recommendations to management regarding installation standards for system design (external and internal), programming and database management
- Participate in hardware/software evaluations
- As needed, conduct system design and/or code walk through sessions
- Develop acceptance test plans; coordinate QA and testing activities
- Coordinate software upgrades and the installation of new software products
- Coordinate change management activities for applications software and related documentation
- Conduct interviews and make recommendations for new hires and/or replacement personnel
- Direct education programs for project team
- Perform performance evaluation/salary administration duties for his/her personnel.
The location of the role is in Fort Worth.
