Our client in Auckland needs a senior IT project manager to start this quarter. You must have good references in New Zealand from employers, colleagues and clients and have worked in New Zealand as a project manager for at least 5 years.
You will need to be energetic, dynamic, and successful. You will have a history of effective project delivery on time and on budget.
You will have need experience managing projects through all phases of the project life cycle and be able to tackle projects of all sizes and complexity.
You will have a background in delivering technology projects in multiple industries using a range of methodologies including Agile.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A New Zealand university tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Polished English language verbal and written communication skills. Status reporting of projects in an accurate and timely manner – with evidence of progress.
- You must have experience managing technology projects ideally in several of the areas of digital enablement, software development, virtual workplace solutions, data migration, advance analytics, business intelligence, data warehousing.
- Team leadership experience with forward planning, financial forecasting and risk and issue management is highly desirable.
- Knowing how to run a project budget and report to sponsors is important.
- Experience using a variety of software development methodologies e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid.
- Excellent relationship building skills across a diversity of cultures, with the ability to solve problems and influence outcomes.
- Experience in a consulting environment a bonus.
The location of the role is in Auckland.
