Our client is looking for a Project Manager to lead large Information Technology projects and engagements through phases of systems upgrade and development including requirement gathering, planning, and implementation. Minimizes exposure and risk on projects. Coordinates and facilitates the execution of multifaceted technology initiatives in line with strategic plans and operating objectives. Manages life cycles, vendors, sponsors, and stakeholders. Job duties:
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and its scope: Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
- Quantify priority change impacts to succeeding projects, such as organizational opportunity costs of delays and time delays, and ensure appropriate representation on artifacts
- Diligent management of capacity plan, ensuring live dates are accurately reflected, cross-team dependent work is being prioritized, started and completed in a manner that minimizes waste across teams
- Build, maintain and evolve an organizational project Status Dashboard. Hours spent by project, late projects, current projects by team(s), projects by category (revenue, customer sat, custom dev, etc)
- Manages life cycle of IT projects including project risks/issues and escalates them by mitigation plans; tracks and communicates changes so that milestones can be reached
- Manages relationship, communication, and training with project stakeholders, sponsors and vendors by keeping them closely engaged in all aspects of the project and escalating issues. Incorporates projects/licensing into IT project prioritization and Project Management process
- Coordinates efforts with director to prepare IT department project budgets. Monitors budgets to ensure that IT spending is appropriately tracked and within established budget guidelines
- Integrates projects with other IT departmental or business areas and stakeholders to ensure integration of assigned project plans and agreement on strategic choices including procurement
- Develops and provides technical training to customers and staff as required. Develops and maintains documentation that provides user functionality and protects data assets.
The location of the role is in Fort Worth.
