Our client is looking for a Support Engineer. You will diagnose the organisation’s and its clients infrastructure and application issues, implement changes, manage and configure devices and systems, and add value to the business by proactively managing incidents. You’ll be troubleshooting and using all the resources at your disposal to resolve any issues presented to you.
You will have relevant Microsoft industry certification(s) with proven 2+ years’ experience as a minimum and preferably training towards Citrix, VMware, Azure and/or Intune. Mainly though, you’ll have a flair for analysis and problem solving and your ethic for service delivery and customer service will compliment your positive outlook and engaging personality. As we are in the infrastructure service game, practical knowledge of the following in an enterprise environment would be preferred.
- Backup Solutions: Arcserve; Commvault; NetBackup
- Cloud Services: Azure; Intune
- Messaging Technologies: Exchange; Skype for Business; MS Team; Office365
- Mobility Technologies: Citrix XenApp; XenDesktop
- System Center Suite: SCOM; SCCM
- Virtualization Technologies: VMware
- Windows Technologies: Active Directory; DFS; DHCP; DNS; Group Policy Management; SharePoint; Certificates; Antivirus; Patching
- Monitoring tools: SPLUNK
- Any exposure in Storage/Hardware (HP; EMC; IBM; Nimble; Purestorage) technologies would be advantageous.
The location of the role is in Auckland.
